Our Story

People often ask me, “Nikki, how did you get into balloon artistry?” And here’s my story!

Hi! My name is Nikki. I’m a busy mom of 3 amazing little boys, a proud wife to my hubby Paulie, a special education teacher, and now balloon artist/ event planner! About seven years ago, I had my first son and ordered balloons for his first birthday. When I received them, I thought, “I could teach myself how to do them!” Over time, especially during the COVID pandemic and beyond, I taught myself different techniques, strategies, and watched tutorials on TikTok, YouTube, and other platforms to perfect my craft.

Fast forward to 2025, when a close friend asked me to create balloons for an anniversary event she was hosting. She sent me an inspiration picture, which was quite detailed, and I wasn’t sure if I could do it. But instead of declining, I enthusiastically agreed. And guess what? It turned out amazing! I realized at that moment, taking a chance on myself was exactly what I had to do in this season of my life!

After that event, I began to do more and more and established Pequa Partiez! I began getting a lot of jobs through word of mouth and the brand gained an enormous amount of popularity. People started asking me to create balloons for different events, such as communions, baby showers, graduations, proms, birthdays, and everything in between. Within two months of becoming a business, I had over 30 jobs under my belt and was on my way to creating a lasting legacy for myself.

This experience has been nothing short of amazing and of course, challenging. I’ve spent countless nights planning events, working hard, and experiencing a range of emotions, from stress and tears to joy and laughter. So why quit now?! In 2026, we took a leap of faith and expanded our business by acquiring Alphalit Long Island. It was a great addition to our business and Marquee letters really take every event to the next level! Everyday we are continuing to grow and thrive.

Balloon and event artistry is my passion. Our team genuinely enjoys creating magical parties for our customers and look forward to continuing to make every event unforgettable!
